DME Ninja-In-Development Award
Description: These scholarships were established in 2015 by DME Group as an investment in the training of rising stars in the welding field. Students entering second year of the Welding Fabrication program at Holland College are eligible (successful completion of year one of Welding Fabrication or Welding Level 1 required).
Criteria: Students must apply for the award, provide a completed Application Form and include a brief personal statement addressing the criteria. Criteria will focus on academic performance, trade skills, interpersonal skills, work ethic, and character. Applications will be reviewed and successful recipients selected by a selection committee appointed by the Registrars Office. Note: DME would like to offer recipients of this award the opportunity to complete a TAIS evaluation and receive personalized results. TAIS is a development tool that involves a series of questions that are completed online, designed to assess individual strengths and weaknesses with the goal of developing optimal personal performance. Completion of the evaluation is optional and confidential, with outcomes provided directly to the student for their personal and professional use. Additional information on TAIS testing will be provided to the recipients once named.
