Marjorie MacDonald Memorial Award
Description: Marjorie was a woman of perseverance who overcame many hardships in her life, and it is for that attribute, along with her incredible generosity and selflessness that she is most admired and remembered by her family and friends. The Marjorie MacDonald Memorial Award will annually assist a student who displays those character traits.
One, $500 award will be given annually in celebration of Marjorie’s generous and courageous spirit.
Criteria: Students entering their first year of Holland College’s Early Childhood Education program are eligible to apply, with priority consideration given to those who are single parents. Recipients will be students with a love of children and who display persistence, integrity, and initiative to overcome personal challenges and issues. Financial need will also be a consideration. Students must apply for the award. Applications to include a completed Application Form (including the Financial Information section). Applications will be reviewed by a Selection Committee appointed by the College Registrar.
