Mature Applicants
Mature applicants who do not meet the academic prerequisites for certain programs may be considered for admission for some programs on an individual basis.
Mature applicants will be considered for the following programs:
- Accounting Technology
- Business Administration
- Retail Business Management
- Computer Information Systems
- Electronics Engineering Technology
- Computer Engineering Technology
- Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Repair and Overhaul Technology
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology
- Electromechanical Technology
- Precision Machinist
- Automotive Technology
- Plumbing
- Welding Fabrication
The following conditions apply as a minimum for consideration of acceptance as a mature applicant when the prerequisites are not met:
- must be age of 22 years by the registration date of the program
- must have been out of school for at least one full year
- must submit a letter outlining why they believe they have the equivalent to the stated prerequisites
- must provide a detailed resume
- must include an official transcript from the last educational institute attended
In addition, mature applicants may be asked to participate in aptitude or achievement assessments.
