Wind Turbine Technician
The global market for wind energy is expanding faster than any other source of electric energy. Our increasing interest in reduction of non-renewable fuels, and greenhouse gases has made wind energy very attractive. Wind energy is a sustainable form of energy. It does not use fuel, and does not produce greenhouse gas. PEI is establishing itself to be one of the most progressive renewable energy leaders in North America.
Holland College is already a leader in Trades & Technology training. Training for a Wind Energy program will require cross-training in relevant disciplines that are established at the College. Our Summerside location is ideal because of its proximity to the WEICan site, and its central location to a number of wind farms.
