Country music group Lonestar has come a long way since their first
hit, Tequila Talkin, back in 1995.
Their style of music has changed a lot since then, much to the
chagrin of Nashville purists within the industry. There is a fine
line between what is country and what isnÕt these days and Lonestar
is stepping right in the middle of it. But that doesnÕt mean itÕs
bad music. This album is chock full of potential top 10 hits.
The first single, IÕm Already There, spent six weeks at the top
of the country charts. ItÕs a powerful ballad where the musical
stylings are somewhat similar to a previous hit Amazed, but tells
a different story. ItÕs a song about a father being away from his
family for a long period of time and how heartbreaking it can be.
LetÕs Bring it Back is a song about a love disappearing but could
be brought back with a bit of work from both parties involved in
the relationship. There are excellent chord changes in the song
which definetely has a pop feel too it.
There is a pure country sound on some of the songs that will keep
your feet tapping, including, Every Little Thing She Does, Like
a Good Cowboy and Unusually Unusual.
Lonestar continues their pattern of improving on every album with
this effort.
