There is much unnecessary debate going on concerning the action President Bush should take after the recent terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

There are bleeding hearts urging caution and hoping retribution for these crimes will come in the way of an extended olive branch. However, the only real decision Dubya should be making is what artist he should commission to paint the hand showing an extended middle finger on the 40 google-ton hydrogen bomb he will drop on whatever country is responsible for these cowardly atrocities.

The first order of business will be finding out who is commited this violation of freedom. Several suspects are already in custody, so a few hours, with the aid of a pair of jacked-up pitbulls and a pipe cutter, should be ample time to find out the faction(s) and country involved. After that, KA-BOOM.

Unless of course it is some sort of disgruntled American militia who end up being the hand on the gun, in which case the Yankees should send in every sort of mobile military they can find and take as many of these pansies alive as possible. Then declare a temporary state of martial law and publicly hang each and everyone of them.

Swift, direct and deliberate action is the only logical coarse to be taken. People who hijack airplanes and crash them into strategic parts of another nation arenÕt looking for attention. They are looking to start a war. The U.S. is considered top dog in the political, economic and military world. If they punk out on this, they will be inviting other like-minded individuals and groups to perform similar acts of terrorism, without fear of retribution.

Who is to say what country would be next? An example needs to made of these criminals. And not some sort of slap on the wrist, ÒPlease refrain from doing that again, pleaseÓ. There needs to be a spillage of blood not seen since times before political correctness and ÒletÕs give peace a chance.Ó

If anything, the States must be conscious of purposely going overboard in this situation. Ignoring this blatant call to arms will ruin the U.S.Õs political clout. A sheriff may carry a badge but the reason deviants listen is because of the gun behind it. Now is the time to show just how big that gun is and exactly what happens when someone robs the stage. And to their friends, family and neighbours. If the U.S. doesnÕt respond like a rabid wolverine, it will prove to all of their antagonists these terrorists were right in assuming they could get away with it. This is not the way the most powerful country in the world should behave in this instance.

Just to get biblical for a minute Eclesiasties teaches there is a time for everything under heaven; a time for war and a time for peace. Well, now is the time to snap. Chuck the Marquis of Queensbury rules out the window and start swinging below the belt.
