Head back to school in style

Jessie Wentzel

Searching for that perfect back to school look?
Variety and the colour orange are the key to this season's style. But you may not have to chuck your entire wardrobe from last year.
For women flare jeans are big again, says Kerri Wallis, Jeans Experts manager. And who could forget, pleather she adds.
Cargo pants with pockets on the bottom of the leg are still in, as well as those with drawstrings around the waist and the bottom of the legs.
You can also hang on to printed shirts, which will remain in this season for a while.
There seems to be a lot more detailing on shirts this year, says Wallis. There's more detachable clothing with the ability to lengthen or shorten or change different features.
"Orange, green and earthtones are popular colours, but then you can turn around and see neon pink or green," she says. "There's a lot of variety."
Tommy, Mavi and Mod Robes are the favorite brand names for your back to school wear.
Kangaroo sweaters, capri pants and Tuff (hiking) boots are what's selling at Roots now.
"Turtlenecks are also very popular this fall," says manager, Millie MacKenzie.
As for what colours to buy those in, she says "Orange seems to big the biggest one right now," adding turquoise and fuschia are also very popular.
This seasons look is described as very fun, with a lot of comfy looking, wearable clothes for both men and women.
At Jeans Experts shirts with tigers, dragons, chinese symbols, cargo pockets and racing stripes are what's in for men this fall. As well as turtleneck sweaters and vests. Cargo pants and loose fit jeans are still a must have.
As it has been for the past couple of years fleece is once again a big hit for men and women.
"We've been selling a lot of fleece this year," says Rae-Anne Corrigan, Manager at Christopher's Beach Club. "Vests, shirts and pants."
