amihotornot Web site a waste of time

When it comes to pathetic Internet sites promoting ridiculous trash, amihotornot.com has got to be among the worst.

This Web site is a place where people can post photographs of themselves, which are then judged by those who visit the site to answer the question "Am I hot or not?"

People can rank the pictures on a scale of one to 10, with 10 being hot, and one apparently means you're pretty gross, or at least somebody thinks so.

I can't believe anybody would post their picture on this site in the first place, except as a joke.

It's hard to believe a person could have such a self-esteem problem they need the confidence boost of strangers ranking them an eight, nine or 10.

People who are expecting a high score and end up getting twos and threes must feel pretty discouraged, but they're not getting any sympathy from me.

Anybody who puts their picture on a site like this and expects to take their scores seriously should be ready to get crappy marks.

If they're upset by it, that's their problem.

As for the people who judge the pictures on this site where do they get the idea they're worthy enough to be ranking other people in the first place?

I'm pretty sure if they stuck their picture up for hundreds of people to comment on it most of them wouldn't be scoring big numbers.

Maybe they should be spending the time they waste on stupid Internet sites by improving their social skills and actually interacting with real people instead of computers?

Just a suggestion.

Basically, it's sad when people base their sense of self-worth on their clothing size, the numbers on the bathroom scale or their face.

The day someone needs to be reassured they're hot online by people they've never met is the day they need serious help.

Whatever happened to wanting to be intelligent, popular, athletic, artistic, or successful?

I guess as long as you're hot, nothing else matters.
