Veterinary camp planned at vet college

Ryan Foster

The Atlantic Veterinary College(AVC) will hold another Vet Camp this year, which will run from July 23 to the 27 2001.

Kim Borgal of AVC say they have already sent out 300 applications, the total number of students accepted has not yet been finalized as it depends on the number of counselors they hire. The student to counselor ratio is projected to be at about 10 to 1.

The camp is open to any and all students who will be going into grades seven, eight and nine in the next year. The camp is not offered to any older grades though.

"It is really really popular," says Borgal.

The activities seem almost endless. The kids will get to experience small and large animal medicine, wildlife medicine, animal behavior and demonstrations of clinical procedures

The camp costs $200 and the deadline for registration is March 15.
