Periodicals Routing Service and Electronic Alerts
Periodicals in Paper Format
Each of our four library locations provides a routing service to make
available new journals to College staff members who have signed up
for the service. The "loan period" for each issue is three
working days per reader, after which time that reader passes the issue
on to the next user or (if the last name on the list of readers)
returns it to Library Services. It's an "honours system", so we
ask all readers to scrupulously observe the loan period, please, so
that other users are not kept waiting!
This is a great way to keep up with news and trends in your field, and
with current affairs generally. If you would like to receive a
copy of the periodicals routing list for your centre or would like to
update your current titles received, please send us an e-mail or contact staff in your nearest library location.
Online Periodicals
The College also subscribes to over 9,000 periodicals in electronic
(online) format. You can review the list of online titles by clicking here. In most cases, for online titles, publishers also provide an
alerting service that sends subscribers an e-mail "tabel of contents"
alert, with links to that title, when a new issue becomes
available. If you would like to subscribe to e-mail or RSS feed
alerts foe new periodicals, please send us an e-mail or contact staff in your nearest library location for instructions.
