Use the online databases listed here to find journal or encyclopedia articles on electrical and electronics topics. Most databases also supply
full text articles as part of their online service. Please note: some of these resources are restricted to Holland College staff and student use.
Off-campus users require a valid library card with barcode to use these protected resources.
ABI/INFORM: over 1700 journals, with a business emphasis. Good coverage of the electrical and electronics industries.
Academic Search Elite: an index to over 3400 journals on a wide variety of topics, with full text articles from 2000+ of the indexed titles.
Scholarly in tone.
AccessScience: a sci/tech encyclopedia, with searchable/browsable content, news story updates, and study guides.
Canadian Business and Current Affairs: over 600 Canadian periodical (journal) and news sources, including
a variety of trade & industry journals.
SCIRUS: searches both journal articles and web pages for sci-tech-medical content. Access to some of the journal articles is by
subscription or for-fee only. Check with the resource centre for more information on how to access priced items.
Vocational and Career Collection: 400+ trade, industry,
and professional journals.
