Find Background Information

The Resource Centre has a number of general and culinary specific resources that can assist you in your research.
Depending on your topic you may want to start with a general online source like Encyclopedia Britannica (tipsheet) or use these print resources:

Find Books/Videos

You can locate books and other resources available in your Resource Centre by using the Library's online catalogue. If you've never used the online catalogue before, you may want to review the process with these video tutorials. You may want to search the catalogue by keyword (eg. garnishes, garde manger, vegetables, poultry) or by some of these subjects:
