Earn a Car
This exciting opportunity is provided by Island-born Calgary businessman, Lou MacEachern. Lou genorously donates the car to the Holland College Foundation each year with the objective of motivating students to achieve their personal and academic best.
Faculty and staff nominate students on the basis of merit, character, and academic achievement with consideration to personal and professional growth and accomplishments, attitude, perseverance, initiative, leadership, career goals, community involvement, ambition, educational growth, academic effort, and work ethic, etc. Nominees are short-listed by the Registrar’s Office, and the top five candidates are interviewed by a selection panel the following spring.
