Foreign owned and domestic gaming companies located in Canada have annual revenues of approximately $2 billion. On PEI there is a cluster of video game companies paying $1.3 million in annual salaries. The government of PEI has committed to working with the video game industry to grow PEI's information technology sector. The ability to train and retrain employees for the industry is recognized as a key driver for business development in this industry.
