Tug Training Program

The Marine Training Centre features the world’s most advanced tug bridge simulator. The tug simulator offers a Kongsberg Polaris Full Mission Bridge with 280 degrees of visuals, Rolls-Royce Aquamaster controls and full console, a unique set-up in the marine training world. Three additional bridges, each with 120 degrees of visuals allows for dynamic ship-to-ship interaction and comprehensive training scenarios.

The tug training courses are designed to improve the student’s knowledge of tugs and their maneuvering capabilities (Z-drive, Voith Schneider and conventional). The courses are very practical with the majority of the training hours devoted to hands-on training exercises. Clients can be trained on a variety of tug models and target vessels in various approaches and harbors.

The full tug training package, like all Marine Training Centre courses, can include first class accomodations, meals and transportation to and from the airport.
