Pushing for the Playoffs

The 2007 Holland Hurricanes women’s soccer team will take to the field looking to challenge for a playoff spot and even contend for an ACAA title. The Hurricanes welcome back many key players from their 2006 squad which finished fifth in its inaugural season in the ACAA. Leading the group of returnees is 2006 ACAA First Team all-star and CCAA Academic All-Canadian EmilyCoady. The speedy midfielder will be joined by manyother returnees including second team all-star Carly McKinnon, Allison McKenna, Holly Bernard, Maggie Connell, Emilie Jewell and Jenna Macleod.The combination of experience, improved offence, some fresh faces and a very talented coaching staff in Meredith Cameron and Jon Vos should make the Hurricanes a force to be reckoned with when the season kicks-off.
