Women's Basketball

On the Way Up

The Hurricanes women’s basketball team hits the court this season with a great deal of optimism. Head Coach Kathy Murray has brought in many of the Island’s best high school players who will combine with some core returnees to mold a team that should challenge for a playoff spot. Key recruits are Kirsten Walker, Jane Murnaghan, Maria Younker, Samara Meade and Mallory Wedge.These fresh faces will look to the experience of players like Carly McKinnon and transfer Katie Hamilton for leadership as they embark on their second season in the ACAA. Look for these Hurricanes to get better every game and push for a playoff spot.
