Adult and Community Education

The College's Adult and Community Education Department is dedicated to providing lifelong learning opportunities for residents of Prince Edward Island. The aims of the Department are to enable adults to develop and fulfill their goals and to realize their potential through the provision of learning opportunities. Programs are offered in an environment which recognizes prior skills, encourages lifelong learning and is responsive to the needs of individual learners, families and communities.

The Adult Education program provides a variety of opportunities for adults to improve their reading, writing and math skills, to upgrade their academic level and to prepare for entry to post-secondary or skill training programs. Our Community Education programs offer language instruction and cultural experiences for new immigrants.

Offered in several different Island communities, programs offered through the Adult and Community Education Department are:
