Logo Rationale

The Holland College logo is comprised of a collection of elements that come together to represent the structure of the College and the aspirations of the student body.

The irregular shape of the logo outline is representative of the skills learning approach to education at Holland College, as each student approaches learning in an individualized way.

The break in this surrounding shape shows the accessibility of the College as part of the lifelong learning process.

The stylized H and C represent the college in this education process, while the column detail above the stylized H denotes a place of knowledge and higher learning.

The free formed circle atop the column allows the combination of three elements to form an energetic human figure emphasizing the student at the centre and in control of the education process. When these three elements are considered as one, the C now serves to represent a stylized Island with the Holland College student at the centre of the Island’s institute of skills-oriented learning.
